I've been wondering how revival from death works in this place. Beat was killed by his doppelganger a few weeks ago, but he immediately reappeared in the arcade. Others have to wait until the fog returns before they're brought back. Knowing what I know about the Sea of Stars, if we're taken there upon death and then pulled back again by either Elias or the Fog, you would think we wouldn't leave anything behind. An imprint left on the Sea, maybe. Either way, I'm starting to believe that there's something sentient living there.
Suns and moons... As in, Day and Night? I'm not sure what they would be doing at the bottom of a deep lake, though, much less by a crack full of starry sky. Unless the lake didn't used to be a lake and was filled in, and Night and Day followers used the crack to somehow commune with their gods... Were you able to go inside of it at all?
<CCC-REDHORSE>
Oh!
I can answer the arcade thing though. That's Elias! Part of what happens when you get his key is that he makes sure to help you come back faster. If I died, I'd just show up in the arcade Right away too, no matter what.
But the fog does the same thing no matter what too. If you pulled someone to the foggy patches in the woods it'd work. ...It'd kind of suck though...
Ummmmm...we couldn't really stay down there too long- we realized it'd be too hard to get back up within the time limit otherwise. I could breathe, but the others couldn't- I was using magic to let them down there :[

That makes sense. It's a shame, really. I'd love to see the bottom of the lake for myself, but I guess there's not really a way to do that safely. Maybe someday there will be an easier solution.
You know, I asked the Fog if she thought she might be playing with someone else's toys when bringing us here from the Sea of Stars, but she just got angry and cut off the conversation in a huff, so I can't even guarantee if she's aware or not. Elias seemed to think there was a possibility that the force guiding the Sea of Stars was sentient, though. Have we found anything about an entity larger than the Day, Night, and Fog?
<CCC-REDHORSE>
And also be really fast because those fish are why my wings had to grow back metal.
[There is a pause after that, before Reira answers. This doesn't tend to happen.
She's looking for something.]
Yes.
There was something that made Day, Night, and Fog, and gave them their jobs.
But....we don't know if it's connected to the Sea or not. The Fog God sounds like she thinks she knows more than everyone because of how old she is though so I'm not surprised she did that... :/
(Though that's why I normally guess that something's going to be 'right' if both of them agree. Normally they don't agree. Like right now :0 )

So basically, a Mer or nothing, then. Could be worth asking Mana for a temporary change just to see it, so long as you can outrun everything.
To be fair, I might have been a bit provocative, but it was worth it to watch her flounce.
Regardless, that doesn't surprise me. Even where I come from, there's a clear hierarchy, and what looks like the top of the food chain isn't actually the true apex at all.
<CCC-REDHORSE>
I guess if people just asked Mana for something like that, it would make exploring really easy though.
<Composing>
I don't think I'll be attempting it any time too soon, but if and when I decide to, would you be willing to come along? Since you've already been, and all.
<CCC-REDHORSE>
It's really dangerous after all, so I want to make sure it's safer :[ If enough of us are friends of Elias, I can at least stop time for everyone that way.
<Composing>
<CCC-REDHORSE>
I don't want to rely on stopping time anyway though- it's good for if something happens and we need it, but that uses energy! I need to save that!!

<CCC-REDHORSE>
[GOOD TO KNOW !]
<Composing>
Well, we definitely don't want that. Especially not that far down. Sounds messy.
<CCC-REDHORSE>
<Composing>
But yes. I agree that it is very bad, either way.
<CCC-REDHORSE>
I wonder if I should buy back breathing underwater...
<Composing>
Come to think of it, I have some abilities I should probably save up for myself. That's not a bad idea.
<CCC-REDHORSE>
And I miss being able to not have to count how long I can hold my breath....
