Well... I don't think getting rid of her is going to be easy... and she's important to a lot of people here. But changing her, or at least getting her to work with everyone... [Sonic rubs his chin thoughtfully, then grins] Well, nothing is impossible, right?

Heh!! I'd much rather be a hero! If I could protect the people here without having to eat them, I... well. I would still want to go home. But I wouldn't mind waiting a bit. ... What I really want is to send a message back home. Let Tom and Maddie know I'm ok, you know? If I just... vanished without a trace, I know they probably turned the town upside-down looking for me.

[he looks away as he thinks about it, sadly. He can imagine Tom probably got the whole police force of Green Hill on search party. Put Carl's tracking skills to the test... were they sad? Did they lose sleep over him?

[Sonic puts his hands to his head and laces his metal fingers into his hair, pulling at it anxiously]

[with something of a panicked look in his eyes and his ears angled back, he grabs Reira's hands]

We HAVE to figure out a way to send a message!! I can't let them think I abandoned them!

[Suffice to say, Reira is a little caught off guard (not the least of which because if she wasn't looking at a half mechanized human, she's pretty sure she'd be looking at something whose ears went into 'airplane' mode)- left stammering on the spot, with nothing to really speak for.] I don't...

I mean...we could ask people working on the portals? ...Except mister Fiddleford stopped working on that... ...I guess Marco's still doing it, but I don't want it to be that the letters get there and fail...

[Sonic makes a high pitched whining noise, his lip quivering and his eyes threatening to overflow. Apparently the idea that Donut Lord and Pretzel Lady might think he abandoned them, spurned their friendship and kindness and allowing him into their home, upsets Sonic more than a lot of other things that have happened here]

We gotta think of something... we gotta.

[This is...a massive pickle. Huge! And on top of that, she's really tired but unable to sleep.

Her brain is running Bad.] ...I'll look for who's working on portal stuff. Like...Mister Robotnik probably is, he does robot things and stuff. And I know Marco is, but he's probably going to be pretty busy this week... [Well, so is she but.]

But if...if we think really hard about how, we have to think of something that works..!

[the more time that passes, the more hope that his "parents" will lose... but it can't be helped. No matter how much he wants it, he can't will a functional portal into existence]

[SHRUG] Beats me!! I'm sure he's got some reason like they're "aerodynamic" or they're, like, the most optimum shape for robots to be, or something.

Hmmmmm....they would be pretty easy to blow wind and water over if they were like eggs...

[Sonic just shrugs again] You'd have to ask him. I'm sure he has some incredibly long winded explanation for it.

Ehehe... I feel like that's either something that will get you yelled at, or, like, weirdly complimented for noticing. I can't quite get a bead on that weird guy... knows a LOT about robots, though, that's for sure.

Yeah!! That was why he asked Elias for a key, actually...well. Sort of. He was talking about being really good with stuff like that, so I asked if he'd be able to help Elias get his own body maybe...

...I don't think anything's worked so far, but maybe one day?

I bet if anyone could do it, he could! .... Mm... but that might not be the best idea. [he frowns, tapping his finger against the floor and shaking his leg] 'Buttnik is super power hungry. I worry that if he does make Eli a working body, it'll be subject to his whims. He might even trap Elias in it and force him to do what he wants. [Sonic shakes his head] We have our ceasefire here but... that guy was willing to do anything to try and catch me and use my power.

Maybe if this were our Earth..... but the tech here just isn't good enough. Honestly I have no idea how Eli's dad managed to get what he got done in the first place! It had to be more magic than tech.

But at least the magic bit...might help?] I don't think anyone but Elias really knows that- but there was definitely a lot of magic...ummm...
